Education & Experience
My name is Deanna Cox and I am from Kingwood, Texas. During college, I worked at daycares to gain experience in working in early childhood settings. After thirty-five years of continuous professional elementary and middle school teaching, my full retirement became effective at the end of May 2026. For twenty years I taught elementary music at the public school level as well as directed children’s music programs in church settings. My love of music compels me to seek avenues to use my teaching ability and years of experience to continue inspiring and instructing people of all ages to make a joyful noise through singing, moving, and playing instruments. I have joined the community of Kindermusik and am currently working to gain accreditation in the Foundations Level.
Mission and Vision of Generational Harmonies
The mission of Generational Harmonies is to enrich lives and strengthen community connections by providing engaging, accessible, and intergenerational music education opportunities from early childhood through senior adults.
Generational Harmonies will foster creativity, lifelong learning, cognitive wellness, and meaningful relationships through individual and group music experiences. The program includes instrument instruction, singing, and collaborative performances. By bringing generations together through the joy of music, the organization will celebrate shared experiences, inspire personal growth, and create a vibrant culture of connection.
